Travel restrictions across prefectures in Japan were lifted on June 19. People now can be moved to the other prefectures but still being advised to avoid travel to and from Tokyo, Chiba, Kanagawa and Saitama as well as Hokkaido if it is not urgent or essential.
Japan has introduced entry restrictions for travelers from 100 countries in response to the new coronavirus infections worldwid. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced to completely lift the state of emergency over the new coronavirus pandemic on 25 May.
The Japanese government lifted the state of emergency declared over the outbreak of the new coronavirus in 39 of Japan's 47 prefectures, today. Eight prefectures which are still under the emergency state are Hokkaido, Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, Kanagawa, Osaka, Hyogo, and Kyoto.
