Airport Transport Service Company Limited (TATS) has started to operate "Exclusive Bus for Foreign Arrivals" service from Narita Airport (NRT) and Haneda Airport (HND) to hotels in Tokyo from December 16, 2020. ANA announced the flight schedule in Jan. and Feb. of 2021 on Dec. 15, 2020. ANA will increase the number of flights serving the Yangon to Tokyo Narita route in January 2021. Starting from February, ANA will resume the Tokyo Haneda = Jakarata route, and also increase the number of flights serving the Tokyo Narita = Hong Kong, Tokyo Narita = Manila, Tokyo Haneda = Delhi (tentative flights), Tokyo Haneda = San Francisco and Tokyo Haneda = New York routes. "Tokiwaso" that is a legendary apartment building where great modern manga artists including Tezuka Osamu lived together and spent their youth there. The original Tokiwaso was demolished in December 1982, but it was rebuilt as a manga museum. The official web site is HERE.

Commercial facilities called "TOKYO mizumachi" has opened on 18th of June 2020. This facilities is surprisingly under the railway overpass! There are two zones; the west zone and the east zone. Only the west zone has opened at this moment. The name "mizumachi" means "water town". It was named because this area is waterfront town. Interesting thing is it is similar to the name "TOKYO soramachi" which is the facilities at TOKYO Skytree. The word "soramachi" means "sky town". The walking footpath...

Mount Fuji will be closed to climbers this summer in order to prevent the new coronavirus spreading. There are four routes for climbing to Mount Fuji, and all four routes are closed. It is the first time since at least 1960 that all four routes will be closed during the climbing season.

Shinkansen passengers with a baggage with overall dimensions of more than 160cm(*) are required to reserve a seat with oversized baggage space from 20 May 2020. This new reservation policy called "baggage 160" is applied to Tokaido Shinkansen, Sanyo Shinkansen, and Kyushu Shinkansen. No additional fee other than reserved seat fee is required. However, 1,000 yen (including TAX) should be paid if the prior reservation is not made. *) The total length, width, and height of luggage exceeds 160cm.
