In 3 more prefectures, Osaka, Kyoto and Hyogo, the state of emergency is lifted on 21 May.
In addition to 39 prefectures that were lifted on 14 May, 42 of 47 prefectures had their emergency declaration lifted.
The rest 5 prefectures are Hokkaido, Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama and Kanagawa.
The Japanese government judges if those can be lifted for those 5 prefectures on 25 May.
