One of long vacation season called "Golden Week" has started from May 3. Days from May 3 to 5 are public holidays followed by a weekend. It becomes 5 days consecutive holidays in Japan this year.
Some people take day-off for May 1 and 2. Then, they will enjoy 9 consecutive holidays!
Many people are going back to their home town to see families and are going to family trip.
One of fun events during this period is "Shiohigari" - clam digging!
Going to beach with shallows, and digging clams!
It is very fun to dig clams. Off course, you can bring back those clams and cook them.
It is very delicious!
